Canoeing
The coastal rivers, creeks, lakes and estuaries of the wilderness coast are wonderful places to paddle a canoe or kayak because of their quiet beauty and the abundance of birdlife that can be seen like for example the Azure Kingfisher and the White Breasted Sea Eagle.
We have paddled over twenty of these waterways between Pambula and Lakes Entrance. Being flat water they provide a safe, quiet and relaxing way of enjoying the wilderness coast.
Specific details such as road access and entry and exit points are available in the guidebook. We recommend that life jackets are always worn on all wilderness coast canoe or kayak trips.
